As we begin a new year, and a new administration in the White House, it is a good time to review proposed gun laws that may be coming.  Given those possible new gun laws, it is an even better time to restore your gun rights.  The Green Law Office is able, in most cases, to complete the petition to restore your gun rights in just a few weeks in most counties in the State of Washington.

Here are some of the possible new gun laws that could be in the federal legislature during 2021:

H.R.30 – Would address the consequences for unlawful firearms trafficking.

H.R.121 – Would add 200 additional BATFE agents and investigators to enforce gun laws.

H.R.125 – Would change federal gun statutes to provide for a 7-day waiting period before purchasing a semiautomatic firearm, a silencer, armor piercing ammunition, or a large capacity ammunition magazine.

H.R.127 – Would require the licensing of firearms and ammunition and the registration of firearms, and would restrict the sale and possession of certain ammo.

H.R.130 – Would mandate the safe storage of firearms and ammunition, and require law enforcement to investigate reports of improper storage of firearms or ammunition.

H.R.167 – Would ban the transfer of a firearm at a gun show by a person who is not a federally licensed firearms dealer.

The State of Washington seems to be focusing on a couple of gun law issues in 2021:  An “assault weapon” ban and high capacity magazine ban.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals recently struck down a California law banning the sale of high capacity magazines, and currently has pending an en banc review of a Hawaii case where the petitioner was denied a permit to carry a gun.

Regardless of your view on the very contentious issue of Second Amendment rights and federal and state gun laws, there is always a period of change when the political climate undergoes a transition such as the one we are witnessing now.  Fortunately, as confusing as the gun laws can be, the Green Law Office has the experience and knowledge necessary to guide you though the confusion and advise you properly about the restoration of your gun rights.  For those who need to have their gun rights restored in Washington, the Green Law Office can provide you with a fast, free consultation about your gun rights, then assist you with petitioning the court to restore your gun rights quickly, and in most cases, without the need for a court appearance.  Contact us today to discuss restoring your gun rights before things change.
